Goals in Joyful
Goals help you turn insights into action. Joyful's AI can suggest goals based on your journaling or you can create your own.
Types of Goals
- Daily Goals: Reset each day (e.g., "Practice gratitude")
- Weekly Goals: Track over a week (e.g., "Exercise 3 times")
- One-time Goals: Complete once (e.g., "Have difficult conversation with friend")
Creating Goals
- 1Go to the Goals tab
- 2Tap "Add Goal"
- 3Describe your goal
- 4Choose the type (daily, weekly, one-time)
- 5Set any reminders
AI-Suggested Goals
Based on your journal entries, Joy may suggest goals that:
- Address patterns Joy has noticed
- Build on your strengths
- Help with areas you've mentioned
- Are realistic and achievable
Tracking Progress
- Mark goals complete as you achieve them
- View your consistency percentage
- See your streak for recurring goals
- Celebrate wins—Joy acknowledges your progress!
Goal Tips
- Start with 1-2 goals, not many
- Make goals specific and measurable
- Connect goals to your values
- Review and adjust weekly
- Be kind to yourself when you miss a day
